Klepachi. The Church of Elijah the Prophet.
There is a wooden church of Elijah the Prophet in the village of Klepachi in the Slonim district. The temple was built in an ancient cemetery in the 19th century during the time of the Russian Empire. There are several dates of the church's construction in historical sources: 1842, 1865 and 1867.
During the Great Patriotic War, the church was damaged by a shell hit. After the war, the faithful were not allowed to repair the shrine, and the church stood in disrepair for a long time. At the end of the existence of the USSR, the temple was handed over to Orthodox believers and repairs were carried out. In 1991, the church was consecrated again and it began to work.
The monument was erected in the traditions of wooden folk architecture. The building consists of three main architectural parts: a vestibule, a prayer hall and an apse. A four-pointed bell tower has been erected above the vestibule. The rectangular log house is covered with a gable roof. There are arched window openings in the side walls of the temple. A stone fence has been built around the church. There is a stone chapel in front of the church.
Not far from the village there is an archaeological monument - a stone cemetery of the 14th - 16th centuries.
