Kischytsy. Intercession Church

The village of Kischytsy once was a large town. But now it is almost extinct. But miraculously, the Pokrovskaya church was preserved on the edge of the town. The church was originally built of wood in the 18th century. And the brick one was built in 1845. The temple is built on the highest elevation above the village, as an architectural dominant. The church was built in the retrospective-Russian style fashionable at the time with features of classicism. The volume of the temple develops along the elongated axis. The main volume is square in plan. The facades of the church are finished with keel-shaped pediments. On the side of the main facade, a three-tiered belfry tower was built. An ancient tiled stove has been preserved in the interior of the church. And there is a pre-revolutionary wrought iron fence around the temple. So you will be pleasantly surprised when you see this beautiful bright temple surrounded by centuries-old linden trees in the midst of such wilderness.
