Kazimirovo. St. Joseph's Church.
In the village of Kazimirovo, Osipovichi district, a wooden Catholic church was built on local graves. The church was consecrated in honor of St. Joseph. During the time of the Russian Empire, in 1862, the owner of the estate in Kazimirovo, Jan Olekhnovich, requested permission to erect a Catholic chapel on local graves from Kazimirovo. It was planned to hold a service for the dead in the chapel four times a year.
But Alekhnovich was rejected for several reasons. The number of Catholics in the village was small, and there were Orthodox churches nearby in neighboring towns. There was a catholic church nearby, for example in Bobruisk and in Svisloch. Pan Alekhnovich was a young and healthy man at that time, and it was not difficult for him to go to another church.
At the beginning of the 20th century, a parish was founded in 1900. The Catholic church was built in 1905 - 1906. There are commemorative inscriptions on the foundation of the building with the date of construction 1906. There was an organ in the church.
During the Soviet Union, the temple was closed for a short time and adapted as a granary. But people still came to the church for service. They came with icons and banners.
To date, there is no priest in the church, and a Franciscan monk comes here for major Catholic holidays.
The monument was erected in the style of folk architecture. The main volume has a rectangular shape in the plan. The building consists of two architectural parts: a prayer hall and an apse. It is covered with a gable roof, and above the apse is a hip roof. The main facade is completed with a triangular pediment. A small two-tiered four-tiered turret is built above the facade.
