Description

The Dyakonsky gentry estate is located in the village of Kashtanovka, in the Pruzhany district. Unfortunately, this ancestral building has been practically forgotten by people and has fallen into disrepair. However, the remaining architecture still recalls the former greatness and historical significance of this building.

The former park has completely turned into a forest, but this does not diminish the feeling of the atmosphere of bygone times. It could become a great tourist attraction, attracting not only foreign tourists, but also residents of Belarus.

Kashtanovka. The Dyakonsky Palace and Park Complex.

The name of the estate is associated with the last representatives of the Dyakonsky family estate who lived here. However, it should be noted that the history of this estate began long before their time. The first mention of the folwark Chakhets (the former name of the village) dates back to 1563. From historical sources, you can learn about the previous owners of this estate, and each of them has left their mark on its history.

According to historical data, the apartment building and library were built in the estate by judge Mikhail Bulgarin, who also participated in the gentry uprising. This uprising also left its mark on the fate of the estate.

Later, the estate was owned by the Kernazitskys, from whom it passed to A. Dyakonsky. Dyakonsky breathed new life into this estate: a two-story wing was added to the main house, and the forest was improved according to all the rules of landscape gardening.

The driveway, laid through the park, led to the entrance to the manor house, which, according to the traditions of that time, was decorated with four pillars and a veranda tiled with monograms.

There was a lot of life here, but after some time, history again made its adjustments to the fate of the owners. In 1939, the Dyakonsky family was subjected to repression, and the remaining possessions were emptied.
