Kalinkovichi. Ecological "Trail of forest wonders".
Landmark
34th quarter of the Kalinkovichi forestry
Description
Imagine: you drive into a pine forest near Kalinkovichi, turn off your phone and enter a portal where time flows differently. Instead of noise, there is the whisper of pine trees, and you want to drink the air.
This is a forest quest for a family. Start with the "barefoot road": take off your shoes, feel the warmth of the tree and the coolness of the moss - nature will give you a massage. Spotted deer will meet you at the lawn.
Then there are live pheasants, shimmering with a rainbow. For kids, there is a fairy-tale lawn based on "12 months" with wooden figures, tic-tac-toe, forest puzzles and a "bird canteen".
There are 30 interactive points in total: QR codes with animal voices, swings, picnic gazebos overlooking the century-old forest. Here, children run from miracle to miracle, and adults remember their childhood.
Opened in April 2026, the trail has become the main natural gem of the region. Admission is free. Come to reboot and fall in love with the Belarusian forest.

The trail where time freezes: a forest adventure near Kalinkovichi.
Imagine: you turn off the highway, drive a couple of kilometers, and the world changes. The urban hum disappears, replaced by the measured breathing of the pine forest. You turn off your phone-voluntarily, without regret-and suddenly you hear not the birds singing, but the pines themselves. Their whispers are so thick and coniferous that you want to drink glasses of this air. Welcome to the Ecological Trail of Forest Wonders, a place where adults become children again, and children become explorers of unknown worlds.
The trail does not start from a sign or a map. It begins with the feeling that you have entered a territory where the forest is the main director, and you are his long-awaited guest. There is no asphalt, no concrete, no fuss. There is a soft forest road that leads you forward by itself, winding between century-old pines, birches and maples. The sun breaks through the crowns with ragged golden rays, blueberries spread like a carpet underfoot, and anthills stand like ancient castles - exactly the same as in books about Indians and trackers.
And you go. At first, cautiously, looking around, then more confidently - because the forest does not frighten, it embraces. And after a hundred meters, the real magic begins.
The first location is not for the eyes, but for the feet. This is the "barefoot path" of health. The organizers, people with great imagination, laid out plots of river sand, pine cones, smooth pebbles and velvety moss here. Take off your shoes - believe me, this is the most correct thing you can do at the very first moment. The coolness of the moss tickles the feet, the cones are massaged, which spreads a pleasant warmth through the body, and the sand reminds of the sea, which is not here, but it seems that it is very close. It's not just a walk, it's a meeting with the forest on the most intimate, tactile level. The children squeal with delight and run around the sites five times. Adults are shy at first, then they take off their socks and remember what it's like to be a child.
Further - more. Spotted deer are looking at you from behind the fence. There are five of them here. They are not afraid of people - on the contrary, they come closer, look into the eyes. They have huge moist eyes and a surprisingly calm grace. If you stand still, you can see how the wind stirs their fur, how they sniff, trying to figure out who has come to them. They look like the forest kings and queens who let you peek into their yard.
But remember the most important rule: you can't feed them. This is not a zoo, this is a forest reserve world. They have their own diet, their own regime, and any treat from their hand can upset the delicate balance. Just watch. Just breathe the same air with them. Just feel an invisible thread of trust slipping between you.
A little further - another miracle. Aviaries with pheasants. They strut about like English lords, shimmering in the sun in all colors - from emerald to crimson. Sometimes they spread their tails, and it seems that fireworks have been lit in the forest. And there are rabbits nearby. A special delight is caused by the giant rabbit, which, after a hearty meal, is sweetly dozing, curled up in a fluffy ball. Children are ready to stand by his cage for hours, watching his nose move. If you're lucky, he'll wake up and start moving his paws in a funny way - and then emotion is guaranteed to everyone without exception.
And then the magic begins for small and big dreamers. The glade "Visiting a fairy tale" is a man-made miracle. The forestry workers themselves painted chairs for each month of the "12 months". January is icy and sparkling, May is green and blooming, September is golden and generous. The children sit on them and immediately begin to invent stories: someone becomes the queen of the cold, someone becomes the prince of the spring forest. Here you can also play tic-tac-toe on huge wooden figures, solve forest puzzles and feed birds in a special "dining room" - a number of birdhouses and feeders, which are also handmade.
There are about thirty interactive locations on the trail. Each one is like a separate chapter of a book. There's a QR code somewhere -point your phone and you'll hear the voice of a forest cuckoo or the hoarse cry of a raven. Somewhere there is a stand telling about how the forestry works: how the forest is grown, how animals are cared for, how nature is protected. Somewhere there is a swing on which you can swing endlessly, lifting your head to the sky and watching the pine trees dance with the clouds.
And at the end of the route there are gazebos. Cozy, wooden, with a view of the century-old forest. You can spread out a blanket, get out a thermos of tea and just sit listening to the forest talking to you. It's not just a picnic spot. This is the place where time really stops. Where children run from one miracle to another, shouting "mom, look!", and adults suddenly fall silent because they remember how they believed in goblins, mermaids and magical forests.
The trail ends with the stand "To be continued...". And these are not just words. A playground for a children's playground has already been cleared behind the stand. It is planned to install more gazebos that can be rented out to make this social project economically independent. For him to live and develop. Because there are too many miracles to stop.
Why is it worth coming here?
The Ecological Trail of Forest Wonders is not just a walk. This is a full-fledged adventure, which has already become the main natural attraction of the Kalinkovichi district. Families, companies, with children and parents come here. People come here just to reboot - from having their phone turned off, from endless notifications, from running. Here, the forest reminds us that life is not an endless race, but a slow breath. Here you can learn to be surprised again. Here you can feel alive again.
Admission is free. The forest is waiting!
