The estate of the Yelskys "Ignatichi" in Kalinino.

Initially, this village was called "Ignatichi". However, the Soviet government decided to change this name to Kalinino. Today, the manor building with the main facade and bas-reliefs, the right wing and several outbuildings have been preserved here.

A sandy path leads deep into the park, where sculptures once stood on a brick pedestal. In the center of the park is the estate itself, the last owner of which, Mr. Wilhelm Yelsky, was passionate about floriculture and collected more than 480 species of roses.

The house itself was small, with a sloping roof, which was damaged during the fire. Now it has a regular roof. The relief cartouche above the door has almost not been preserved, but its symbolism remains a mystery to historians. Wrought iron patterns have been preserved on the windows, and now decorate the house.

In 1914, Wilhelm began the reconstruction of the castle, collecting unique objects, including paintings by famous artists. But due to dispossession, the estate became the property of the Soviet authorities. Wilhelm was allowed to live on the estate until 1917. Then the building was empty, the unique items of the Yelsky family were sold.

In the late 1990s, the estate was acquired into private ownership. However, the reconstruction was never carried out.

Now there are only abandoned buildings and a park on the territory, where rare plants bloom in spring and summer, preserving the atmosphere of past times. There is a large plaque at the entrance itself, informing that this place is a historical and cultural value.

The manor building will be interesting to visit for those who are interested in the history of palace and park construction in Belarus. A visit to this estate is included in a number of sightseeing tours and routes in the Minsk region.
