Internatsionalny. Trembitsky Manor.
The manor was built by Vincent Trembitsky at the turn of the XVIII-XIX centuries. A wide entrance alley surrounded by greenery led to this elegant manor house, as well as a park with a system of artificial canals and a garden. The interior of the house was striking in its splendor: luxurious interiors, a huge dining room that served as a ballroom for receptions and events at the same time. The owners were particularly proud of the extensive library, which included more than 14 thousand volumes, as well as valuable ancient manuscripts. Unfortunately, the estate has not been restored.
At the beginning of the 20th century, when the estate space became cramped for its many inhabitants, Vladislav Trembitsky, the current owner of the complex, began a major restructuring. However, there were not enough funds for the full implementation of the planned project, and only the side wings were attached. The completion of the work was prevented by the outbreak of the First World War.
Vladislav Trembitsky was a famous bibliographer. He collected ancient books and manuscripts, and in the middle of the XIX century his extensive library was kept in the palace. Over time, the collection grew and reached several thousand volumes, among which Polish and French books predominated. The library also housed books and manuscripts from the collections of Mikhail Bobrovsky, acquired in 1847. After the death of Vladislav Trembitsky, most of the library was sold by Zamoyski and ended up in Warsaw, where it burned down in a fire in 1944. The other part of the books was taken out by the Germans after the occupation of Pruzhany in the First World War.
In Soviet times, the Trembitsky Palace housed the office of a starch factory built on the territory of a former brewery. However, after the bankruptcy of the factory, the estate gradually fell into disrepair and was destroyed over time.
