Description
The history of the Kruglyansky District Museum of History and Local History began on February 21, 1990, with the adoption of a resolution on its establishment. A year later, in September 1991, the collection of exhibits began, which subsequently formed the basis of the first exhibition dedicated to Kruglyanshchina during the Great Patriotic War. The museum opened its doors to visitors on June 25, 1994.

"Kruglyansky District Museum of History and Local Lore"
Today, the museum not only presents the rich history of the region during the war, but also tells about other important aspects of its life and development. Three additional exhibitions introduce visitors to local ethnography (opened in March 1995), the nature of the region (opened in November 1997) and the history of the region from ancient times (opened in September 1998). The "Archaeology" section was added to the historical exhibition in October 1999. In total, the museum halls occupy an area of 175 square meters.
