Grushevka. Manor of Reitans.
Grushevka is known throughout Belarus as a manor-park ensemble of the noble family of Reitans and occupies an area of about 14 hectares. A wooden palace, brick outbuildings and outbuildings, as well as a chapel-burial house, have been preserved. A park and alleys spread around the palace. If you go to Grushevka from Lyakhovichi, then in front of the town, at the end of the forest, on the right, there is a dirt road that leads to the family chapel. And after driving a little further a few hundred meters, you will find yourself near the entrance gate and, turning left along the central alley, you will reach the palace. On the right, you will see farm buildings that have survived to our time. And on the left, in the park, there are the remains of farm buildings, which were built from huge boulders. In front of the palace there is a brick wing of the 17th-18th century. Behind the palace there is also a park with buildings and a pond. The wooden palace was built at the end of the 19th century on the site of the former brick building, which was erected in the style of classicism in the 18th century. For a long time, the estate was in a neglected state, but in 2020, the restoration of the wooden palace began with the state money of the Republic of Belarus and funds from the European Union grant. The building of the palace is wooden with an attic, rectangular in plan with features of the modern style. To come on a tour to Grushevka, you should prepare well: read about the Reitan family and their most famous representative Tadeusz Reitan, wear comfortable shoes and take a good camera. Because unusual natural landscapes and interesting architectural buildings await you.
