Grodno. Doctor Kostelkovsky's house (Sovetskaya St., 5).

In Grodno, along Sovetskaya pedestrian street (number 5), there is a two-story stone building where doctor Kostelkovsky lived. The building was built at the turn of the 18th – 19th centuries. It was rebuilt in 1848.

It first belonged to the famous doctor in Grodno, Jozef Kostelkovsky (1833-1895). Yu's son was born in this house. Stanislav Kostelkovsky (1881-1960) was a public and political figure, historian, professor at Vilnius Stefan Batory University, who wrote a monograph on A. Tizengauz.

Since 1881, there has been a Faivushovich tobacco store, Moisha Kushner's photo workshop, doctors who lived in the building, and there were 14 residential apartments. In 1894, Gazhansky, a freelance practitioner, lived here, Shereshevskaya-Eipshitz, a midwife, and in 1926, Abraham Lipnik, the chief physician of the Jewish hospital.

After the Great Patriotic War in 1961, the archway in the building was rebuilt – in one half of the arch there were storage rooms for a local store, and in the other – an ice cream parlor. Now the Cinema and Music store, Galanteya, and the grocery store of the Neman trading house are operating in this building.
