A historical building with significant architectural and cultural significance.
Merchant Muravyov, the owner of the house, was one of the iconic figures in the economic life of Grodno. His house not only served as a living space, but also served as a shopping center, where important commercial transactions were carried out.
The Art Nouveau architecture of the building featured exquisite elements such as decorative facades, beautiful windows and columns, which emphasized the status of the owner. The interior design was also rich. The rooms had several tiled stoves, original moldings and forged parts.
The building has undergone many historical changes, including the influence of various cultures and architectural styles. Throughout its existence, the house has been rebuilt several times, reflecting changes in the social and economic life of the region.
In the second half of the 20th century, part of the house was used as a sewing factory, and the main premises were occupied by the Grodno Regional Library named after E. Karsky.
Today, merchant Muravyov's house is a cultural heritage site and attracts the attention of tourists and locals. It serves as a reminder of Grodno's past and its role in the history of trade and the economy of Belarus.
Currently, the building houses the Muravyov apart-hotel and restaurant. The historic building is in excellent condition. The hotel's restaurant has restored 19th-century interiors.
Visiting the merchant Muravyov's house allows you to better understand the cultural roots of Grodno and enjoy the atmosphere imbued with the spirit of history and trade.
