In the historical center of Grodno, on ancient Karl Marx Street (number 34), there is an architectural monument known as the Dyshko House. This building is also called the Shagidevich House and the Shosha Brown House. The building was built in the era of the Russian Empire in 1880 in the eclectic style. In those days, K. Marx Street was called Kupecheskaya (Merchant's).
The house is stone, two-storied, plastered. The front facade is decorated with decor. There is an arched passage in the center of the building. There are two balconies.
The first owner of the building was landlord Sendar Dyshko. He owned several houses in Grodno, which he rented out. At first, Dyshko lived in this house with his family. When the house number 36 was built next to Kupecheskaya Street, S. Dyshko moved into this building.
During the period of the Polish state in 1921-1939, there were residential apartments here.
After the Great Patriotic War, an office was located in the building. In recent years, the monument has been restored. There are residential apartments.
