The Church of the Transfiguration of the Lord in Gritskovichi is an architectural monument, a valuable example of Belarusian wooden architecture.

The Church of the Transfiguration of the Lord in Gritskovichi is not just an architectural monument, it is a living testimony to the faith, steadfastness and continuity of the spiritual traditions of the Belarusian people. It is a place where history is intertwined with modernity, and prayer fills the hearts of believers with hope and peace.

It is noteworthy that the church did not cease its activities even in the difficult times of the 20th century, when religious beliefs were persecuted. In 1944, after the tragic destruction of the Holy Dormition Cathedral in Kholopenichi, it was this modest church that became the spiritual center, taking on the burden of worship.

The architectural appearance of the church is characterized by conciseness and harmony. The four-walled log house rests on a solid rubble foundation. The hip roof, which was covered with tin in 1979, smoothly transitions into a faceted finish above a pentagonal apse with small side sacristy. The center of the roof is crowned by an octagonal tent-shaped drum with an elegant dome on a thin neck topped with a wrought-iron cross. The entrance is decorated with a porch with two pillars, above which stands a gable canopy.

Vertical wall cladding, tie bars in the walls of rectangular windows visually increase the height of the building. The only decorative element is the under-cornice arcature belt. The natural lighting of the prayer hall is provided by the side windows, the arched window of the apse and the window of the choirs. A bell tower stands apart from the temple.

Of particular historical value are the ancient stone crosses located around the church, testifying to the deep roots of Christianity in this region.
