Gremyacha. Puzyna's Manor.
Not far from the village of Volchin there is the Gremyacha estate, which previously belonged to the Puzyna family. The first owners here were Ilyinichi, Gosevsky, Sapieha, Czartoryski and others.
At the beginning of the 19th century, the owners here were the Vislotskys, the collegiate registrar Lucian Vislotsky. According to the documents, at the beginning of the 19th century, the estate owned 1,568 dessiatines of land and 553 peasants. In the second half of the 19th century, a manor and park ensemble belonging to the Puzyna family was built near the town of Gremyacha. The first owner of the bubbles was Jozef Ignatiy Puzyna (1800 – 1874), and then his two sons Alexander and Jozef Adolf Martin.
Then it belonged to Adolf's son Jozef Edward.
Jozef Puzyna (1878-1949) was a writer, poet and historian. He graduated from a university in Switzerland. He worked in Poland at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and after his retirement he moved to Bolshaya Berestovitsa near Grodno, and transferred the estate in Gremyacha to a school.
The Puzyna's Palace is a one-story rectangular building. Initially, researchers believe it was built by the previous owners of the Vislotskys. The building was built in the classical style, covered with a hip roof. The main entrance is decorated with a four-column Doric portico. The facade is decorated with hanging garlands and other decorative elements. The facade of the palace facing the park also has a symmetrical composition. The palace is built on a high basement foundation. The interior has a large lobby and a hall with access to the park. The spiral railway staircase leading to the attic has been preserved to our time. Next to the palace there is a park of several hectares with utility buildings.: A cheese factory, a barn, a glacier, and there used to be a brewery. After the war, the estate had a school and a children's camp. And now the buildings and the park are in a neglected state.
In 1994, the feature film "Summer of Love" based on a story by Ivan Bunin was shot on the territory of the estate. The famous Belarusian film actress Stefania Stanyuta starred in the film.
