Grandichi. St. Roch's Church.

In the north of Grodno there is the Grandichi lighthouse, where the stone Catholic church of St. Roch was built. Now Grandichi is already a suburb of Grodno.

The place was first mentioned in historical sources during the time of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania in the 16th century. In the 18th century, the monks of the Carmelite monastery in Grodno built a wooden Catholic chapel near the road from Grodno to Gozha. In 1845, during the Russian Empire, the chapel was annexed to the parish of the Orthodox Church.

In 1910, a new stone Catholic church was built in Grandichi. The temple was consecrated in honor of Saint Roch. The shrine was built according to the design of the architect Wilhelm Sroka. During the time of the Polish state in the 1920s, the church was assigned to the parish of the Church of Francis Xavier in Grodno.

After the Great Patriotic War in Soviet times, the church was closed and adapted as a warehouse. In 1990, the building was handed over to the Catholic faithful and renovation began. In 1992, repairs were completed in the temple and the shrine began to work.

The monument was erected in the Neo-Gothic style. It is a rectangular volume with transepts and a pentagonal apse. A small four-pointed bell tower is built over the main facade.
