Gorodilovo. St. Joseph's Church.

Far from the main roads and large cities, a small village with an interesting name Gorodilovo was lost between Molodechno and Volozhin. The place is considered one of the oldest in the Molodechno district. There is a settlement nearby and the village itself is located on a hill. The first written sources report Gorodilovo as early as the 15th century, as the property of John Ralovich, who built a church here.

In the 18th century, the owners here were representatives of the Kotell family. After the partitions of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, the place became part of the Russian Empire and was considered a village in the Oshmyansky district of the Vilna province. In 1794, the wooden church of St. George was built on the foundation of the Kotells. In the 19th century, there was a public school. In the 19th century, Gorodilovo had the Puzyn's estate, where the famous writer Gabriela Puzyna lived. There is a park left of the estate not far from the church.

In 1866, a new stone church was built near the cemetery, which was consecrated in honor of St. Joseph.

The church was built according to a standard design in pseudo-Russian style and consists of 4 main parts: a vestibule, a refectory, a prayer hall and an apse. Above the narthex, a bell tower is built, an octagon above a quadrangle, which completes a high spire with an onion. The prayer hall is covered with a four-pitched roof, and on top there is a drum with an onion. The building is built of rubble stone. There is a stone gates ('brama') at the entrance to the temple.
