An architectural monument of the early 20th century, historical and cultural value and an interesting landmark.
The first owners of the estate were the Bykovskys. They received these lands as a gift in 1510. Exactly the genus Bykovsky owned this place for 350 years. With them, it also received the name Lebyodka (Winch) - in honor of the river located nearby. After the death of the last Pan Bykovsky in 1852, the estate passed to his son-in-law Stanislav Ivanovsky. Later, the estate and the vast territories of lands received by Ivanovsky's children, as a result of a successful marriage, were inherited by his son Leonard. He was a very famous man at that time. He was engaged in science, developed new technologies, knew many foreign languages, was a state councilor, was a translator for Dmitry Mendeleev himself, accompanying him on trips around the world. The history of the Ivanovsky family is very interesting. Its representatives made a significant contribution to three cultures at once: Lithuanian, Polish and Belarusian.
The main attraction of the village of Golovichpolye is the manor and
the manor palace, built in 1909. The construction of the manor and the palace is
all credit to Leonard Ivanovsky. The architectural appearance of the palace successfully combines Art Nouveau and Neo-Gothic elements, which give the building a castle-like appearance. The majestic red-and-white castle attracts the eye.
The castle is an L-shaped building, an asymmetric three-dimensional composition. It consists of one and two-storey volumes, there are pointed shields, pinnacles, faceted bay windows with tent ends. A terrace connected to the corridor adjoins the south-western wall. The decorative solution of the facades is based on contrast - a combination of a red brick - masonry background with plastered architectural details - architraves, cornices, rustication. Horizontal belts, framing of openings, decorative rustication of corners create a complex geometric pattern on the facade. Triangular decorative balconies are also used in the decoration of facades. The layout of the house is a corridor. Several outbuildings and a curious interior bridge leading to the main entrance have been preserved. Of the interior decoration of the palace, only the old fireplaces have been preserved. There is a landscaped park around the palace.
The area of the estate is 18 hectares. The layout of the park does not have a clearly defined composition. The plantings are full of exotic plants.
The most picturesque part is located on the north-western side of the manor house. Single trees of the Crimean linden, weeping ash and the only Manchurian ash in Belarus have been preserved. There are 50 tree species in the park. In the northern part of the park, the alleys form a large rectangular bosket (a dense group of trees), a small grove adjacent to the garden. Paths from the garden lead to small ponds on the outskirts of the park. There are European larch, Petrovsky poplar, Canadian poplar, and many local deciduous and coniferous trees. There is also an orchard in the estate. Overgrown trees define the backbone of the estate and have a protective significance.
The Ivanovsky-Lebyodka estate in Golovichpolye has a special charm and represents a unique heritage of culture and architecture.
