The Dubovsky cascade of lakes is a real decoration and treasure trove of our Belarusian nature.

The Vir River connects four lakes - Dragochin, Usoh, Plavun and Vyakhovo - for 14 km. This cascade of lakes is the only one in the Mogilev Region. The Vir River itself is only 20 km long and flows into the Berezina.

Lake Dragochin is located 3 km from Bobruisk, the area of the reservoir is 16 hectares. The greatest width of the lake is about 90 m, the length is slightly more than 2 km. The shores of the lake are partially swampy, the western shore is high, covered with forest.

Several times larger is Lake Plavun, with an area of 39 hectares. It is also elongated, its length is 4.7 km, and its maximum width is 130 m. Its banks are high, overgrown with forest and bushes in the north. The lake is connected to the Vyakhovo River.

Lake Vyakhovo is located near the village of Stupeni. This is the largest lake in the cascade. The length is 11 km, and the maximum width is 750 m. The area of the lake is 42 hectares. It is flowing, shallow, its slopes are gentle, swampy, overgrown with forest and bushes. On Lake Vyakhovo you can not only have a good rest, but also replenish your stock of knowledge about plants and animals listed in the Red Book of the Republic of Belarus. Here you can see rare plants and birds directly in their habitat - bittern, Siberian iris.

Lake Usoh is only 13 hectares, it is a drainage lake. Its slopes are distinguished in the west, covered with forest. Lake Usoh is connected with lakes Dragochin and Plavun.

Sapropel deposits of some lakes are used for medicinal purposes. Perch, roach, bream, crucian carp, pike, tench and other fish species live in the lakes. On the territory of the reserve there are places of settlement and distribution of rare species of animals and plants listed in the Red Book of the Republic of Belarus and the International Red Book of the Union for Conservation of Nature. These are white water lily, Siberian iris or iris, water turtle, bittern. On the territory adjacent to the lakes there is one of the rare places where a population of rare bear onion grows - in the people ramsons. Broad-leaved forests of oak and maple groves grow in the reserve.

Tourists and vacationers admire the surrounding nature and beauty of these places from the shores of the lakes, and extreme sports enthusiasts travel by water, and in winter, on skis across the frozen lakes.

The Dubovsky cascade of lakes is a real decoration and treasure trove of our Belarusian nature. You simply have to admire these amazing beauties!
