St. Catherine's Church in the village of Gadichevo is an architectural monument in the classical style. The temple was designed by the famous English architect John Clark.

St. Catherine's Church in the village of Gadichevo was built in 1822 in the classical style according to the design of the English architect John Clark, initiated by the State Chancellor of the Russian Empire, Count N.P. Rumyantsev, the owner of the Gomel estate. The temple has a central composition, and the entrances are decorated with identical four-column porticos.

In 1922, the church lost its church valuables. As stated in the "Certificate on the closure of the Gadichevsky prayer house and the transfer of the building to the Krasnoe Znamya collective farm," which was submitted to the executive committee of the Teryukhsky Village Council in the summer of 1960. Gadichevskaya Church closed for the first time in 1936 and was transformed into a club, while removing the dome and organizing a stage inside.

At the end of 1941, a group of believers brought the church building back to life. Five years later, the prayer house was handed over to the religious community.

In 1947, a new wooden dome was installed on the temple, and in January 1961 it was closed again. After that, the building was used for household needs.

In 1986, parishioners wrote to the patriarch asking for the church to be reopened. In December 1989, Metropolitan Filaret re-consecrated the church.

Today, the temple is operational, attracting not only parishioners, but also numerous tourists. The temple building is a historical and cultural heritage, a significant cultural value of the country.
