Dyatlovo. Church of the Transfiguration of the Savior.

The first Orthodox church in Dyatlovo was founded in the 16th century. The sponsor of the temple was Prince Konstantin Ostrogsky. The Great Lithuanian Hetman Konstantin Ivanovich Ostrogsky (1460-1530) was a military and statesman, philanthropist.

During the fire, this wooden church burned down and a new wooden temple in the form of a ship was erected in its place at the beginning of the 18th century. The church was consecrated as the Transfiguration of the Savior.

The church building was built in the traditions of Belarusian folk architecture. In terms of the rectangular temple, it is a log house extended along an elongated axis, having a pentagonal apse. Near the apse on its sides of the sacristy. The log house is covered with a gable roof. There is an octagonal drum and an onion above the center of the temple. The walls of the church are horizontally sheathed. There are rectangular windows in the side walls of the building, which are closed with shutters.

A few years ago, a new stone church was erected next to the old church, which was consecrated as the Cathedral of the New Martyrs and Confessors of the Russian Church. Back in 1907, a draft of a new church was developed, which was approved by the Synod. The foundation of the new church was laid, but the outbreak of the First World War prevented the construction. During the Polish period, in 1935, the development of a new church began, but the outbreak of war again prevented the plan. In 1993, architect L. Makarevich developed a new project and a few years ago the church was completed.
