Drogichin. The Church of the Presentation of the Lord.

The small regional town of Drogichin, which is located on the way between Brest and Gomel, has been known since the 15th century. The first church was mentioned in the early 17th century during the time of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania. The former church was built in the Baroque style with a two-towered facade and three naves. When the old church became obsolete, it was decided to build a new church.

The wooden Orthodox church, which is located in the center of the city on Lenin Street, has been preserved to our time. The temple was built in the era of the Russian Empire in 1862 and was consecrated in honor of the Presentation of the Lord.

The church was built in the pseudo-Russian style and consists of two main parts: the vestibule and the main volume. Above the vestibule is a three-tiered bell tower, which is completed with a tall multi-faceted tent with an onion. A porch with a gable canopy on 4 pillars is attached to the porch. The main volume is covered by a three-pitched roof. An octagonal drum with an onion is located above the prayer hall.

The interior has choirs and an iconostasis with icons from the 19th century: "Pantokrator the Savior", "God Mother of Tenderness", and others. There is a precious icon "God Mother of Ostrobram" from the 18th century.

In the 1990s, the church was renovated. The temple is functioning.
