Domashevichi. The estate of the Ley family.
There is a small billage called Domashevichi near the town of Baranovichi. The place has been known from historical sources since the 15th century and belonged to the old owners. First to Peslyakovichs, then to Rogozichs and Bryants. At the beginning of the 19th century it belonged to the Korbut family.
Since the middle of the 19th century, the local estate was acquired by Joseph Neigof–Ley. In 1876, the estate in Domashevichi was owned by his son Ivan Neigof-Ley. Since 1888, Nadezhda Stepanovna Pavlova has been in charge of the estate, and in 1911, Alexander von Mohler.
At the beginning of the 19th century, Domashevichi had a palace, a one-story building with a four-pitched roof, which was covered with shingles. There were 4 chimneys that heated the building. The main entrance was decorated in the form of a portico with two pairs of columns. The manor was located on the Lake Terrace.
The palace has not been preserved to our time and private houses are now located in its place. The park, which covers an area of about five hectares, has been preserved. Experts count about a hundred plant species in the park. Linden prevails among the trees. There are also birch, mountain ash, white acacia and other tree species. Ornamental shrubs grow along the trails.
