Dmitrovichi. Church of the Transfiguration of the Lord.

On the very edge of the Belovezhskaya Pushcha National Park is the village of Dmitrovichi. The Kamenets-Kamenyuki road passes through Dmitrovichi.

During the time of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, since the 16th century, there was a famous estate in the village, which was part of the Brest district of the Brest Voivodeship. After the third partition of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, it became part of the Russian Empire and belonged to the Grodno province. In the 19th century, Sivers and then Bakhmetyevs owned the local estate.

An 18th-century wooden church was built in the center of the village, which was consecrated in honor of the Transfiguration of the Lord. The church was built as a Uniate church. After the union was banned, the building was handed over to Orthodox believers. At the end of the 19th century, there were more than five thousand parishioners from 16 nearby villages.

The Transfiguration Church was considered a monument of Belarusian folk architecture. The building is rectangular in plan, made of a log cabin, covered with a high gable roof. A low vestibule is attached to the main facade. A wooden toy tower-bell tower was built in front of the church. Since ancient times, priests have been buried near the church.

The church has been renovated in recent years.
