Chernivka. Church of the Holy Trinity

The village of Chernivka has been known since the 17th century. During the time of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, it was part of the Mogilev Economy of Orshan District. And during the Russian Empire, it was owned by various lords, including Count Zorich. Originally, the church was made of wood. And the brick one was built in 1826, and according to other sources in the 1860s. During the USSR, the temple was closed and turned into a local club for the cultural recreation of the local population. Over time, the club was moved to another premises, and the church building was empty and fell into disrepair. In 2003, residents of Chernivka created a religious community of the parish of the Trinity Church and gradually began to collect funds for the restoration of the church. In recent years, a lot has been done to restore the building, a service is being conducted. Not far from the church on the right side is the mass grave of Soviet soldiers who died here in the summer of 1944 during the liberation of Mogilev region from the Nazi invaders. And nearby there is a small square in which local residents have made a cozy gazebo with a national flavor - a woven fence, where a collection of ceramic jugs and millstones from hand mills is collected.
