Church in Sopotskyn.

At the beginning of the 16th century, King Sigismund I the Old gave the town of Sviatsk, located nearby, to the nobleman Shymko Sopotska, who founded a town called Sopotskyn. In the 17th century, magnate Jan Volovich founded the first church in Sopotskyn. In the 19th century, the authorities of the Russian Empire closed the church and the church passed to the Orthodox. And only in 1916 the temple was returned to the Catholics. In the 1930s, the church was significantly rebuilt. During the Second World War, it was heavily damaged during hostilities. And thanks to the efforts of the parishioners, the shrine was restored. The church is now active. The church is surrounded by a brick fence with a large gate near the main entrance. The temple is a monument in the style of eclecticism with elements of baroque, classicism and Gothic. Three-nave basilica with a transept. The main facade of the church is divided into several tiers by cornices. In the central part of the facade is a flat portico with a triangular pediment, above which there is a semicircular shield. The main facade is decorated with decorative vases.
