The Holy Protection Church on the outskirts of the village of Bukhovichi is a monument of Baroque and eclectic architecture.

The Holy Protection Church was built in 1674 (or 1676) by Dominican monks. It originally served as the Catholic church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. In 1830, the Catholic church was closed, and in 1832 it was transferred to the Orthodox Church.

In 1862 and 1870, the church was rebuilt on behalf of Metropolitan Joseph of Lithuania and Vilno. On June 24, 1881, after major repairs, the church was consecrated as the Holy Intercession Church.

In 1889, a three-tiered stone bell tower was added to the rectangular building with a hip roof, the upper tier of which is made of wood. This renovation, as well as the restoration of the roof and the superstructure of the tower with a bow-like dome above the altar, introduced elements of the retrospective Russian style into the architecture of the Baroque temple.

The architectural composition of the church consists of three parts: a three-tiered bell tower (with a wooden tent-shaped octagon on two stone squares), a rectangular prayer hall and a low rectangular sacristy. The temple is covered with a hip roof, and the corners of the altar are reinforced with powerful buttresses. The side facades are rhythmically dissected by high-set arched windows.

The interior of the church is decorated with a wooden carved iconostasis, designed in 1877 by architect Baron Kozen. It is divided into a prayer hall and an apse, where the 18th-century tablet icon "Saved with the State" is located, on the back of which the "Mother of God Odigitria" is depicted.

The Holy Protection Church is included in the list of historical and cultural values of the Republic of Belarus. It remains in operation and continues to attract attention as a monument of stone architecture with eclectic elements.
