Brashevici. Church of the Transfiguration of the Lord.
There is a place called Brashevichi between Drogichin and Kobrin on the M10 highway.
The town of Brashevichi, Drogichin district, was first mentioned in the 15th century. During the time of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, the first owners here were representatives of the Kezgail family, who financed the wooden Catholic church. Since 1554, the manor was acquired by Bishop Valerian Protasevich of Lutsk. In 1936, the new owner was Jan Narushevich. The next person who owned Brashevichi was the chancellor of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, Albrecht Stanislav Radziwill.
At the end of the 17th century, a wooden Uniate church was built in the village. This ancient temple was painted in 1863 by the famous artist and composer Napoleon Orda.
In 1911-1914 – a new stone Orthodox church was built. The temple was built according to a standard design. The building consists of four main parts: the vestibule, the refectory, the prayer hall and the apse. A multi-tiered bell tower is built over the vestibule. Above the main volume is an octagonal drum with an onion dome. The temple is decorated with decor using elements of ancient Russian architecture. The interior features a 19th-century iconostasis.
