Bragin Historical Museum with an art gallery.

The museum's collection includes about 3,000 exhibits, including a collection of paintings reflecting the history and culture of the region; a collection of towels demonstrating the wealth of Belarusian folk art; the Bragin meteorite, a fragment of a cosmic body that fell to earth in the 19th century and became part of the history of the region; a carved tabernacle, an example of religious art.

The museum is known for its extensive exposition dedicated to the Chernobyl disaster. There are paintings by Belarusian artists who captured the first days after the accident, as well as personal belongings of Vasily Ignatenko, a native of the Bragin district and a hero liquidator. The Lost Land exhibition tells about life before and after the tragedy, about the pain of loss and the hope of rebirth.

In addition to the Chernobyl theme, the museum presents:

· The Bragin History Hall, which tells about the city's past and its inhabitants.

· "Polesie house", recreating the atmosphere of traditional Belarusian life.

· The Hall of memory of V. I. Ignatenko, dedicated to the feat of the hero-liquidator.

The Bragin Museum is not only a place for storing exhibits, but also an active participant in international projects aimed at preserving the memory of the Chernobyl disaster. Thanks to the cooperation with the SOKE program and the Chernobyl Disaster Management Department, a search system for displaced people was created in the museum, a documentary film "My Generation and Chernobyl" was shot, and a memorial book "Despite. For joy. As a keepsake...".

Visiting the Bragin Historical Museum is an opportunity to touch history, learn about tragic events and the heroism of people, as well as see unique artifacts that preserve the memory of the past.
