Bolshye Zhukhovichi. The Church of Peter and Paul.

In the village of Bolshye Zhukhovichi, Korelichi district, there is a wooden Orthodox church, which was consecrated in honor of Peter and Paul. The temple was built as a Uniate church in the era of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania in 1745. The shrine was built at the expense of the magnate Prince Karol Radziwill.

The church was assigned to a church in the town of Turets, which is located on the way from Korelichi to Mir. During the time of the Russian Empire, a wooden parish school was built at the church in 1890.

The temple consists of three main architectural parts: the vestibule, the prayer hall and the apse. The square vestibule is attached to a rectangular log cabin, where the prayer hall is located. A pentagonal apse is attached to the main volume.

The interior of the temple has a three-tiered iconostasis with 11 icons. There are ancient icons of the 18th and 19th centuries: "St. George the Victorious", "Mother of God with Child", "Apostles Thomas and John", "St. Catherine".

In the 19th century, a stone two-tiered bell tower was built near the church, which is covered with a hipped roof. There were four bells in the bell tower. There is an onion dome on the drum above the roof. The bell tower is built of rubble stone with the use of raisin laying.

The church has been renovated in recent years.
