Bobruisk. Church of Peter and Paul.

In the early 17th century, the Catholic Jesuit order built a church and a school in Bobruisk. The founder of the Jesuit residence was the Bobruisk elder Peter Trizna, who gave them the villages of Gorbatsevichi, Rinya, and Ustaylo. In addition, he gave 7,500 florins in money. The Catholic saint Andrew Babolya visited the church in 1631.

In the mid-17th century, during the war between the Tsardom of Moscow and the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, the residence fell into disrepair. It was then restored, and suffered again during the Northern War. Since 1720, a shelter for impoverished gentry operated at the church. In 1747–1780, a brick church of Sts. Peter and Paul was built according to the design of the architect Tamás Żabrovsky. At that time, a monastery, a school, and a college operated in the Jesuit residence. There was also a theater. There were outbuildings: a barn, a cellar, a stable, a brewery, and other buildings, and the monastery also had a garden and a vegetable garden. A brick Jesuit college, U-shaped in plan, was built, in the construction of which Jakub Ruoff took part.

After the partitions of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth in the late 18th century and its annexation by the Russian Empire, the church and other property were confiscated from the Jesuits and adapted for military purposes. The church housed a workshop. During the Soviet era, the building housed a police station.

The church was built in the Baroque style. It was a three-story, two-tower basilica. Bells and a clock were installed in the church towers. The church is currently in a neglected state and needs restoration.
