The bank building in Baranovichi, built between 1927 and 1929, is one of the country's important architectural monuments.
The architectural appearance of the bank building combines elements of various styles, which allows it to be attributed to the eclecticism popular in that historical period. The main decoration of the facade is flat pilasters and cornice, giving the building classical features.
The building was designed by Polish architects, taking into account the peculiarities of the region of Western Belarus. Inside there were not only the offices of the finance department, but also the residential apartments of the employees. The bank was a branch of the Polish Bank in Baranovichi.
The building style can be described as neoclassicism with elements of grandeur and monumentality. The original two-storey building was later expanded to include a third floor with apartments for employees. The residential apartments were distinguished by their comfort, including several three-bedroom apartments with a separate bathroom and kitchen, which was very prestigious for the bank's employees at that time.
Fortunately, the bank building has been fully preserved and today it stands before us in all its glory. Tourists come here both independently and in whole groups. Currently, a branch of the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus is located in the building.
