Landmark

Landmark

Belarus, Minsk region, Smolevichi district, Alesino agro-town

Description

Since the middle of the 19th century, the town of Alesino belonged to the Vankovichi. Nowadays, a distillery has been preserved here, which began its work in 1896 near the manor house of Monyushko-Vankovich. Unfortunately, there are no traces of the estate itself, but the distillery buildings, made of solid stone and red brick, have been preserved and continue to be used as an administrative building to this day. Also of historical interest are the preserved outbuildings located in the center of the village.

The brewery building of the Vankovich estate in Alesino.

The former brovar (brewery) building of the Vankovich estate in Alesino was built in the early twentieth century and is considered a typical example of industrial architecture of that time. Its expressiveness is emphasized by the harmonious combination of red brick, from which the walls are built, and plastered decorative elements, creating an interesting visual effect.

Subsequently, the building was adapted to administrative needs, which allowed it to be preserved and continued to be used in a modern context. Thus, the former brovar of Vankovichi has become not only a part of the historical heritage of the region, but also an important element of its modern appearance. Today, the building houses an agricultural enterprise.

Also on the territory of the plant you can see several buildings, an outbuilding and a warehouse. These buildings are made of red brick using rubble stone. All the buildings are built in the style of industrial Art Nouveau, which gives them a special character and atmosphere. They are not painted or plastered, and have the traditional look of buildings from the early 20th century.

These buildings are included in the list of historical and cultural values of Smolevichi district, which underlines their importance for local history and culture.
