The chapel-tomb named after Christ the Savior in the village of Akhremovtsy is made in the style of retrospective Gothic.
The village of Akhremovtsy, formerly known as Belmonty, is located near Braslav, in a picturesque location on the banks of the river Drivyat. The name is associated with the surname Akhremovichi, who owned these lands back in the 17th century. Previously, the Manuzzi Palace stood in Akhremovtsy, which, unfortunately, has not been preserved. You can only see it in the drawings of the artist Napoleon Orda.
The tomb chapel, built in the 19th century, has been preserved to this day. The complex includes a tomb, a massive fence, a central gate and two small chapels. The cultural monument is accessible both with a group and independently, due to its convenient location at the end of the village, next to the highway.
The landmark is located at the local cemetery. Its construction was initiated by Count Plater, who wanted to create a family tomb. The chapel-tomb in Akhremovtsy is made in the style of retrospective Gothic. It is a rectangular brick structure with a gable roof. The facade is decorated with two turrets and a stepped attic. The building stands out with a rose window, typical of Gothic buildings. Spires with crosses rise above the turrets, and lancet windows illuminate the hall.
The chapel in Akhremovtsy resembles a medieval temple. To make sure of this, it is worth visiting this place and enjoying a walk into the past. The tomb chapel of Christ the Savior impresses with its grandeur and beauty, leaving no tourist indifferent.
