The Shklov region has something to show and surprise!These are religious buildings of various faiths, a town hall, and even a monument to a cucumber).It is the birthplace of the first president of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, and the school building where he studied can be visited as an excursion object.The cherry on the cake will be a visit to the former country house of the famous Belarusian poet Yanka Kupala, located in a very picturesque place.

In 2020, the Church of the Intercession turned 200 years old! This is the only preserved Orthodox Wooden church in the territory of the Shklovsky district.

The Shklov Town Hall is included in the catalog of monuments of world architecture, published in the USA, for a reason.
It is an architectural masterpiece of classicism. Located on the historical market, it harmoniously fits into the ensemble with shopping malls.
In 2017, a commemorative plaque was installed on the town hall building, announcing the receipt of the Magdeburg rights by Shklov in 1574.
And the main building and symbol of such cities is the town hall.
Today, only a few cities in Belarus can boast that they have a town hall, and Shklov is among them!

The sculpture of a Cucumber (the author of the monument Andrey Vorobyov) has become not just a work of art, but also a symbol of unity and pride for local residents.

Shklovsky Park is a monument to landscape gardening and is considered one of the ten most beautiful and ancient parks in Belarus.
Empress Catherine II even walked here with her favorite, Count Zorich (a very interesting and controversial personality). 
Not far from the monument to Zorich, you can currently see the oldest tree in the park – a poplar, which was named Yekaterininsky.

Alexandria is the small homeland of the President of Belarus.

Almost 1000 years ago, the first wooden castle-fortress appeared here.
Later, this place belonged to the famous Radziwill family.
During the Northern War with Sweden (1700-1721), Peter the Great organized construction work here for defense, organizing earthen ramparts, which gave them their current name. 
A wooden reconstruction of several towers has recently been carried out on the shaft in accordance with documents from 1665, offering a breathtaking view of the panorama of the Dnieper River and the surrounding area.
