Then we visit the building of the former zemstvo council, which attracts attention with its elegant facade, made in the classical style. The right wing of the ground floor is occupied by the Museum of Local Lore, which presents exhibitions revealing the rich past of the region and its cultural heritage.

Then we visit the palace and the estate of the Svyatsky family, which were built in the classical style from Svyatsky branded bricks in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. There is a memorial plaque on the ruins of the once magnificent palace stating that Yanka Kupala worked here.

Smolyany has preserved the ruins of a majestic castle built by the Sangushko magnates in the 17th century in the Renaissance style. The castle is now in ruins, but its remains are impressive in their grandeur and beauty.
