Rossony and Polotsk districts: Klyastitsy-Rossony-Kollektivnaya-memorial complex "Field of military Glory"-cluster of boulders Yanovo.

Description

As a rule, most tourists explore the ancient city of Polotsk, which has separate guided tours on this site, but they do not find time to explore its surroundings, but in vain, because there are many interesting and noteworthy places in the area.

Our tour starts near one of the most famous springs in Belarus, which the locals have nicknamed "Serebryanka". There are legends about the amazing properties of water from the spring, as if it has a living force, heals, and gives vital energy. For the convenience of tourists, there is a chapel and a swimming pool, there is a well.

Next, we will visit the unusual palace of the local nobleman Glazko, on the shore of the lake, which was built in 1904 and surprises everyone with its unusual architecture in the neo-Gothic style: it looks like a Gothic church and a medieval castle at the same time. And there is also a beautiful legend about the origin of this palace, which the locals will definitely tell you.

The following locations will be ancient religious buildings: a stone church built in 1879 in a pseudo–Russian style of brick and stone, and a stone temple, which was erected in 1750 in the late Baroque style with elements of classicism.

Then we head to the place where the southern border of the Stalin Line fortified area once passed and where the soldiers heroically held off the German offensive for 20 days in 1941. By visiting the Field of Military Glory complex, you will be able to visit a real pillbox, where the last war left terrible traces, visit a dugout, walk through the trenches and try to imagine what this place looked like at the beginning of the war.

We finish our route at the cluster of Yanovo boulders - this mysterious and ancient structure of stones and huge boulders of pink and red colors, which are laid out in the shape of the letter P, a heart or an arrow, is often called the "Belarusian Stonehenge".

Come and get to know the sights and beauties better!
