In the footsteps of the Gutten-Chapsky family: Priluki-Volkovichi-Stankovo-Uzda-Pervomaisk.

Description

The tour "In the footsteps of the Gutten-Chapsky family" will immerse us in the history of the Belarusian region through the prism of the life and work of one of the most famous noble families. This route covers several interesting ones, each of which holds its own historical secrets and legends.

Let's start our tour with a visit to the Priluki Palace and Park complex, the last owners of which were Count Gutten-Chapsky and his family.

Next, we will visit the grave in Volkovichi, where Jozefina Chapskaya, who was the owner of the estate in Priluki, and also, together with her husband, became the founder of the beautiful Priluki nature Reserve, is buried.

Then we will go to Stankovo. This estate became the property of the count's family in the second half of the 19th century. Here we will also see the Church of St. Nicholas, the construction of which was started by Count Emerick von Gutten-Chapsky. We will not pass by the Military Historical complex "Old Frontier".

Uzda is the next stage of our journey. Here we will see ancient architectural monuments with a rich past. This is the Holy Cross Church with a historically difficult fate, as well as the Church of Peter and Paul. We will also see a ten-meter-high tomb chapel of the Zavisha family in the shape of an Egyptian pyramid, and the legends associated with it will not leave anyone indifferent.

We will finish our tour in Pervomaisk, where we will visit the manor and park complex of the Zavisha magnates of the 19th century and the Calvinist cathedral of the 16th century in the park, rebuilt into a Catholic chapel-tomb. It's a very atmospheric place!

The tour "In the footsteps of the Gutten-Chapsky family" is not only an opportunity to learn more about Belarusian history, but also a chance to enjoy the beauty of nature and architectural monuments of the region. Here you can feel the connection with the story that is coming to life before your eyes.
