Pinsk Region - to the places of Alexander Blok (route 3): Mestkovichi-Velyatichi-Lemeshevichi-Mesyatichi-Kolby-Lopatino-Ostrov-The village of Pare.
Description
This tour introduces us to the work of Alexander Blok, the first poet of the Silver Age of Russian poetry, who was brought to Polesie by the First World War. He stayed here from July 1916 to March 1917. Although he did not write a single work during this period, the events of that time had a significant impact on his further work.
Since 1980, there has been an interesting museum dedicated to the poet's work in the village of Lopatino.
On the way, we will stop near ancient temples typical of Polessky wooden architecture.
At the end of the tour, you will have a unique opportunity to visit an unusual "vampire village".
There are a lot of exotic Polesie here: charming roofs, old churches, floodplain meadows and marshes covered with alder forest, an incredible mix of Christian and pagan traditions.
The village has repeatedly attracted the attention of historians, ufologists and adventurers, and all because of the fact that in the local cemetery you can see traces of an unusual tradition: graves laid with parts of massive oaks.
What do vampires have to do with it? Come there and find out on the spot ).
PS: the local places are rich in attractions and it is not possible to include them in the program of one day, so they are divided into several excursions that are available on this website.
