Novogrudok district: historical and cultural heritage.

Description

Go on a guided tour of Novogrudok district and its surroundings!

The first point of the route will be the O'Rourke manor in the village of Vselyub, created in the classical style.

Next, you will visit the Church of St. Casimir in Vselyub, built in the Gothic style with late architectural changes. Among his relics, the sculpture of the Mother of God, depicting the Mother of God pregnant, awaiting the birth of Jesus, particularly attracts attention.

We will also see the Church of St. Michael, made in the Baroque style with elements of retrospective Russian architecture.

Next, we will visit the Dybovsky and Brochotsky estate in Vereskovo. In addition to the partially preserved 19th-century Baroque palace (later rebuilt in the Classical style), a park and several outbuildings have been preserved.

In the town of Ostashino, we will see the Chechot's estate of the 19th century, from which a one-story classical-style palace, an outbuilding and a park have been preserved to our time.

Also on the route is Lyubchansky Castle, built on the border of Gothic and Renaissance styles. Its towers are built of bricks and boulders, and the atmosphere of a medieval fortress surrounded by a picturesque landscape creates a unique historical flavor.

The next stop is the Church of the Kazan Mother of God in Negnevichi, which houses the 18th—century icon of the Holy Family.

In Novogrudok, we will visit the Orthodox Church of the Transfiguration of the Lord, where the relics of 11 Nazarene sisters and the Catholic icon of the Mother of God are kept, as well as the Adam Mickiewicz House Museum, which is not only a biographical museum exhibit, but also an open—air museum.

The trip will be completed by the mosque in Lovchitsy, located on a hill next to the local Tatar cemetery, where burials are still held.
