Mostovsky district: History and architecture.
Description
Go on a guided tour of the Mostovsky district and its surroundings! You will visit the Church of the Mother of God of Ruzhentsova in the town of Peski, built in the Neo-Gothic style. Its main altar is dedicated to the Mother of God Ruzhentsova.
In the city of Mosty Pravye you will see a cemetery, where the stone chapel of the Oznobishin family has been preserved. The chapel is made of stone and has a quadrangular shape.
In the city of Mosty you will get acquainted with the Mostovsky state museum "Forest and Man", where archaeological finds, paintings, stuffed animals and much more are presented. The suspension bridge, made in an engineering style with elements of constructivism, has become a symbol of the city — its image can be seen on the coat of arms and flag. The railway station, built in the Art Nouveau style, is a two-story stone building made of yellow brick. There is also the Church of St. Elijah, built in the traditions of folk wooden architecture.
In the town of Malye Stepanishki there is a stone manor — a one-story building with an attic. There is a utility building nearby, as well as a garden with a small park.
The final attraction will be the Church of the Holy Trinity in the town of Plebanovtsy. The interior of the temple is decorated with Baroque altars, an ancient organ and carved wooden sculptures of that time.
