Mogilev. Walking tour of the historical center (Leninskaya street).

Description

Leninskaya pedestrian street is located in the very heart of Mogilev, its length reaches one and a half kilometers. The history of the street dates back to the period of the existence of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania. Initially, it was called Vetrenaya (Windy), and in the era of the Russian Empire it was known as Bolshaya Sadovaya. After the revolution, it was renamed first to Dekabristov Street, and then to Leninskaya Street.

In Mogilev, Leninskaya pedestrian street is the most notable among other streets of the city. It can even be called Mogilev Arbat. You can explore this street endlessly, finding something new every time... It is full of historical buildings dating back to the 17th and 20th centuries, hidden courtyards, and former apartment buildings.

The street houses museums and educational institutions that functioned before the revolution. The architecture of the buildings is represented by various eras and trends.

Numerous cafes and restaurants along the street offer a wide range of food and drinks, and souvenir shops and shops offer a variety of gifts and memorabilia.
