Mogilev is a city with a thousand-year history: sightseeing tour by car.
Description
During this tour, we will travel along the route by car and on foot. We will explore the historical heritage of the city by visiting important sights in the historical center and on the outskirts of the city.
The tour starts with a visit to the Buinichi War Memorial, where the ashes of the famous Soviet writer Konstantin Simonov are scattered. During the heroic defense of the city in July 1941, he was present at the scene and described the defense of the city in his work "The Living and the Dead" and in his memoirs. Simonov was so inspired by the heroism of the defenders of Mogilev that he bequeathed to scatter his ashes on the Buinicheskoe field...
Across the street from Buinichi Field there are two sites that are also recommended to visit if children are traveling with you: the zoo with the safari railway located on its territory and the ethnographic complex Belarusian Village of Masters.
Then we go to the historical center of the city, where we will see the splendor of architectural monuments, the most iconic and recognizable places of the city: the Square of Stars, the Drama Theater, the Square of Glory, the Town Hall and the historical center of Mogilev – Castle Hill.
Then we will visit Podnikolye Park, an important landmark of the city and one of the most favorite places of recreation for Mogilev residents and guests of the city. The top point of the stairs leading to the park is an excellent observation deck, which offers a magnificent view of the park and the surrounding area. Here you can take beautiful keepsake photos. On the edge of the park is the 17th-century Orthodox St. Nicholas Monastery, which can also be visited.
At the end of the tour in the suburbs of Mogilev, we will visit the Holy Trinity Church in the village of Polykovichi, which is considered the "pearl" of Mogilev region, as well as a nature monument – a miraculous spring.
