Description

A literary journey through the Ushachy Region will introduce us to the rich history and culture of this region, as well as places associated with writers Vasil Bykov and Petrus Brovka.

Let's start our journey from the village of Bychki, the small homeland of the famous Belarusian writer Vasil Bykov. Here we will visit the Manor-museum, which bears his name. This is an exact copy of the writer's house, recreated from photographs and memoirs of contemporaries.

Next we are heading to Cherepovshchina. Here we will explore the ruins of the estate owned by the Malinovsky family.

The next stop is Selishche. This is the place where the ruins of the once majestic St. Veronica's Church and the Bernardine monastery building have been preserved, which is also in disrepair.

In Paperino, we will visit the Memorial complex "Breakthrough", which perpetuates the memory of the heroism of the partisans and their courage.

We will stop in Ushachi and admire the unique Neo-Gothic style of St. Lawrence Church.

Orekhovno famous for the Grebnitsky family Estate in the style of late classicism. And even if it is abandoned today, let's look at the original details here, which are still partially preserved. We will also walk through the park around the estate, which preserves traces of former luxury.

In the village of Novaya Zhizn, we'll see the estate of the Sushchinsky family, where one of the first Belarusian plays, 'Mikhalka', was staged.

We finish our trip in Putilkovichi. This magical picturesque place has its own unique atmosphere and history. Here we will visit the Petrus Brovka House Museum and get acquainted with its memorial and literary exhibitions.
