The Ivye region is full of historical sites and architectural monuments.Despite the devastating wars, many of the sights have survived to this day, although many are in ruins.Majestic temples, an ancient manor and an ancient castle will open their doors to us.This tour covers only a few of them.Other routes around the area are also available on this website.

There are many beautiful and interesting architectural monuments in the Ivyevsky district. 
Many of them are known all over Belarus. And there are quite modest and nondescript monuments. But if you see them, you will remember them for the rest of your life. One of these monuments is the Orthodox Church in the village of Velikie Knyazikovtsy, from which our tour begins.

The Church of the Intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary is a significant architectural monument dating back to 1860.

One of the most unusual churches in Belarus, more like a castle than a temple, is located in the very center of the village and is an architectural dominant.
Several ancient burials have been preserved near the church, including representatives of the Volsky family.

To this day, only a brick wing for employees with a tower and an ancient park have been preserved.
But even from them, one can imagine how magnificent the Volsky estate was, built in the Neo-Gothic style!

If you are a fan of climbing through the ruins of the castle and defensive earthen ramparts overgrown with forest, then it is worth going to Geranyony. 
The ruins of the castle in Geranyony are a must-visit, as they are associated with the lives of many famous figures from the era of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania.

St. Nicholas Church has a rich history and combines several architectural styles: Gothic, Baroque and Classicism.
The wedding of Varvara Radziwil and Stanislav Gasthold took place here in 1537.

The church is built on the main street of the village of red brick in the Neo-Gothic style.
The interior is also decorated in the Neo-Gothic style. There is an organ. 
Unique burials in the crypt of the temple have been preserved to our time. 
If you ask the local priest, he will definitely open the crypt and tell you a lot of interesting things about the local nobility. 
In the crypt you will see the coats of arms of the local nobility, lined with colored mosaics.

If you want to see the residence of the Polish kings, you don't have to go to Warsaw! 
You can visit the town of Zhemyslavl in the Ivye district, where at the end of the 19th century the local Umyastovsky lords built an exact replica of the residence of the last king of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, Stanislav August Poniatowski “Lazenki". 
The estate was bought by a private owner and it can be visited to relax in nature, because even the Germans created a resort here during the occupation.

The Neo-Gothic Church of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary is interesting for its preserved icons of the 19th century.
Today, the church is in operation, religious holidays, holy Masses and prayer services are regularly held here.

Traby. The Church of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary.

Peter and Paul Church in Traby is a remarkable monument of Belarusian wooden architecture of the 18th century. It was built in 1784, and has been preserved unchanged to our time. 
At the beginning of the 20th century, a stone fence and a bell tower were added.
