Grodno (route 4): The royal city.

Description

Grodno is one of the few cities in Belarus that has preserved its historical outline unchanged to the present day.

The city is rightfully proud of its rich historical and cultural heritage, preserved through the centuries.

Grodno attracts many tourists, offering them a unique opportunity to enjoy the architectural sights and experience the spirit of antiquity.


On this tour you will visit two royal castles at once, because during the time of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania and the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, Grodno was the residence of the king and the Grand Duke.

In those days, the life of the city was inconceivable without religious buildings: churches, churches and synagogues. You will visit ancient temples of different faiths, see several palaces and civil structures of those times, which will allow you to plunge into the atmosphere of that era.


The tour begins with the royal castle, near which there is a monument to the Grand Duke of Lithuania Vytautas.

After visiting castles and museums, a walking tour of the historical center of Grodno, where you will walk through narrow old streets and visit several religious buildings.
