Yelsk and Lelchitsy districts: Yelsk-Lelchitsy-Pribolovichi-Glushkovichi.
Description
We start our tour in the center of the city of Yelsk, where there is a memorial complex called "The Victims of the 20th century", erected in memory of those who died during the Great Patriotic War, as well as in the accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant.
The main attraction of Yelsk is the Church of the Holy Life-Giving Trinity, built in 1769-1780, is a monument of wooden architecture with features of classicism and the oldest building in the city.
We will also visit the Yelsk Museum of Local Lore, whose main task is to collect, store and promote the historical and cultural heritage of the region.
Then you will visit the Church of the Life-Giving Trinity in Lelchitsy, which is of interest to tourists and travelers who are actively interested in the history of Belarus.
The next location of our tour will be the Church of the Intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, built in the period from 1794 to 1797 on the territory of the local cemetery. Behind the temple there is an ancient stone cross, which is the object of Christian worship.
We finish our route at the granite quarry in Glushkovichi, a unique place in Belarus. It impresses with its Norwegian landscapes, it is not for nothing that ordinary quarries are called fjords here. There is nothing like this on the territory of our country anymore.
Formally, the "Glushkovsky quarries" are not included in the sightseeing routes, but in fact, almost every guest of the Lelchitsy district tries to take them to Glushkovichi, where tourists are completely amazed that such beautiful places exist in Belarus!
All this and much more awaits you to meet interested and inquisitive tourists!
Come here and get to know the sights and beauties of these places better!
