Dzerzhinsk region: Dzerzhinskaya Mountain-Bolshye Novoselki-Starinki-Novaya Ruditsa-Dzerzhinsk-Stankovo.

Description

We are going on an exciting journey through the Dzerzhinsk region.

Let's immerse ourselves in the atmosphere of gentry culture, because several ancient residences belonging to famous families have been preserved on the territory of the Dzerzhinsk district.

First, we will climb to the highest point in Belarus, 345 meters above sea level.

In Bolshye Novoselki we will see the Kostrovitsky estate, built in the first half of the 19th century.

In Novaya Ruditsa we will find an abandoned chapel-tomb of the Dybovskys, which is an important historical and cultural heritage of the region.

We will visit the historical settlement located in the city of Dzerzhinsk. Gashtold Mountain is an archaeological monument dating back to the 16th century.

In Dzerzhinsk we will also see one of the oldest Catholic wooden churches located in the Minsk region, and visit the Church of the Intercession, an example of Russian architecture. In 2005, icons and crosses began to be myrrh-streaming here, which attracts many pilgrims here.

We will visit the resting place of St. Valentine of Minsk. She is the first Belarusian saint to be canonized as a saint. Her grave has been awarded the status of a third-degree historical and cultural heritage.

In Stankovo, our attention will be attracted by an unusual building in the Neo-Gothic style, resembling a miniature castle. This is the "Skarbnitsa" (The Treasury), a preserved part of the Chapsky estate, where the library was located.

The tour along this route is very diverse and informative. It will give you a lot of impressions and will be remembered for a long time.
