Welcome to Dokshitsy district! This is a picturesque corner of Belarus with its cultural heritage and beautiful natural landscapes.
We will start our journey in Begoml and will move along the route to Shunevka, Tumilovichi, Dokshitsy, Sittsy and Porplishche. In this tour we will explore the main historical monuments of the region and admire the picturesque landscapes.
In Begoml, a small but cozy village, you will visit the ruins of the Church of All Saints. Despite the fact that the ruins of the temple are in disrepair, they continue to make a strong impression with their beauty and harmony.
Next, we will head to Shunevka. This place is known for its pain and sorrow. Here we will visit the Memorial complex "The Curse of Fascism" - an important part of the cultural heritage and concentration of memory of the great tragedy.
The next stop will be Tumilovichi. Here we will visit the ancient church of St. George. In 2024, the temple turned 160 years old!
Then we will head to Dokshitsy, the administrative center of the district. Here we will visit the stone Church of the Intercession of the Most Holy Theotokos, located in the city center.
The next stop is Sittsy. It is a small but picturesque village. Here you can visit the ruins of the Domeyko manor complex and explore the fragments of the old park, the remaining outbuildings. We will also visit the Church of St. George the Victorious. It is not only a place of worship, but also the keeper of a rich historical heritage - 280 volumes of books, among which there are very old editions.
We will finish our tour in Porplishche and visit such important architectural monuments as the Church of the Virgin Mary the Queen and the Church of the Transfiguration of the Savior.
