Dobrush region: bridges of time and historical places.

Description

We are going on a tour of Dobrush district and its surroundings! Our tour will cover several interesting settlements: Demyanki, Stary Krupets, Korma, Krasny Partizan, Lenino and Dobrush itself.

First of all, we will visit the Gerard estate in Demyanki, made in a pseudo-Russian style with elegant elements of Art Nouveau. The total area of the estate is seven hectares.

The next stop will be Dobrush, where we'll see a monument to the national writer of Belarus Ivan Shamyakin. The bronze sculpture symbolizes the recognition of his significant contribution to the national culture and literary heritage. We will also visit the regional Museum of Local Lore, which includes five permanent exhibitions and two temporary, mobile ones. In his collection there are more than 9,000 items that allow you to immerse yourself in the history of Dobrush district. Let's get acquainted with the Dobrush bridges, most of which were built at the end of the 19th century and reflect the architectural trends of that time. We will see a complex of paper mill buildings, which is an enclosed area with one- and two-story buildings made of red and white bricks.

Then we will go to the village of Stary Krupets. Here we will pay attention to the Trinity Church, which was tried to burn down during the Second World War. It is a unique example of wooden architecture.

In the urban village of Korma, we will see the Holy Protection Church, an example of the retrospective Russian architectural style. The temple attracts believers and pilgrims, remaining a significant spiritual center and an important historical landmark.

Krasny Partizan agro-town houses Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary church, a monument of the neo-Russian style. The temple has a rich history dating back to the 16th century.

The final stop will be Lenino. The church of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker is located here. For many years, the building was used for other purposes, then it was destroyed and remained abandoned for a long time.
