Description
This busy route through the Vitebsk region is ideal for a short but impressive trip around Belarus.
In 2-3 days you will see unique temples, picturesque landscapes and places with a rich history.
The starting point will be the city of Glubokoe, where you will find two majestic "neighbor" churches - the Orthodox Cathedral of the Nativity of the Virgin and the Catholic Church of the Holy Trinity, which are vivid examples of the Vilna Baroque.
Next, the path leads through the famous Mosar, which is called the "Belarusian Versailles" due to the St. Anne's Church and the beautiful arboretum.
The agro-town of Paris with its 30-meter Eiffel Tower is no less amazing.
Connoisseurs of architecture will be pleased with the ancient churches in Dunilovichi, Luchai and Kamai, some of which have never been closed and preserve unique altars and organs.
In Postavy you can admire the Tizengauz Palace and the Neo-Gothic church, and in Vidzy you can see the tallest church in the country.
The route will take you to the pearl of Belarus — the Braslav Lakes.
Here you will find the mysterious lake "God's Eye" and majestic temples in Milyuntsy, Opsa, Slobodka and Ikazn, more reminiscent of ancient castles.
You will get acquainted with the cultural heritage of Braslav itself on Castle Hill and at the Museum of Traditional Culture.
The trip will be completed by the Neo-Gothic pearl - the church in Sarya.
The nature of the region will impress you in the Yelnya Nature Reserve, one of the largest upland marshes in Europe, and on the mysterious uninhabited Doo island.
This tour is a great opportunity to discover the multifaceted Belarus, where epochs, cultures and amazing natural landscapes are intertwined.
